Sprague is seeking a Natural Gas Business Analyst to analyze and document current processes in the natural gas unit, propose enhancements, and translate requirements into actionable user stories. You will collaborate with BA Managers, developers, and stakeholders to remove redundancies and improve efficiency while aligning with business goals.

The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking, the ability to prioritize workload, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline required
• Energy sector experience preferred but not required
• Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 apps (Excel emphasis)
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities required
• Solid understanding of BA techniques and project management methods
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; collaboration is key

Responsibilities

• Audit existing processes for inefficiencies, documentation gaps, and data clarity.
• Identify stakeholders and process owners to empower positive changes.
• Document current state workflows and validate with BA Manager and stakeholders.
• Design improved workflows using contemporary applications and technologies.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure applications reflect business knowledge.
• Lead meetings to validate requirements before IT team work.
• Create functional scripts to test new enhancements and system changes.
• Plan and oversee implementation of new or enhanced systems.
• Train user community on new systems and ensure smooth adoption.
• Support merger/acquisition information needs and timely improvements.
• Work independently and in teams to deliver objective results.
