Job summary

E&K, based in Denver, Colorado, is hiring a Traveling Construction Project Engineer to support high-profile interior specialty projects across the US. You will manage documents, budgeting, procurement, and field coordination while traveling up to 75% to ensure projects finish on time and within budget.

The role offers hands-on exposure to every project phase, collaboration with experienced professionals, and a pathway toward Project Management leadership within a safety-first environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction or related field.
• Diploma/degree in construction Mgmt, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read construction drawings, blueprints, specs, and docs.
• Experience with specialty construction products and trades preferred.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills; problem solving.
• Excellent organizational/document management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication across roles.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project documents, submittals, RFIs and change management.
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis.
• Support procurement and subcontractor coordination.
• Prepare submittal packages and shop drawings.
• Participate in site visits, meetings, and trainings.
• Ensure safety, quality, and contract compliance on site.
