Job summary
Gardner‑Watson Decking, Inc. is hiring a Structural Metal Decking Ironworker/Welder to install or weld sheet metal decking on steel framing and to perform shear stud installation across projects nationwide.
You will lay and fasten decking, weld, and install shear studs, using hand, power, pneumatic, and powder-actuated tools on-site while following OSHA safety standards. The role requires 100% nationwide travel, a strong work ethic, and the ability to lift at least 75 lbs and work at heights
Qualifications
- Sheet metal deck installation experience.
- Experience welding and shear stud installation on steel framing.
- Ability to log time and attendance using mobile tech.
- Wamiliarity with safety standards (OSHA) at construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Lay and fasten sheet metal decking on structural steel.
- Perform welding and shear stud installation on steel framing.
- Operate hand, power, pneumatic, and powder‑actuated tools safely.
- Care for and maintain tools/equipment to keep them job-ready.
- Accurately record time and attendance using mobile technology.
