Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Project Executive (Nationwide) to lead a single large project team or multiple smaller teams, guiding overall direction, completion, and financial outcomes. This role sits primarily on the job site with some travel to training and office locations.

The candidate should have extensive project leadership experience, a strong technical background, and willingness to relocate and travel across the country.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of project leadership experience.
• Willingness to relocate and travel nationally.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Experience on large construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Assumes overall accountability for jobsite safety.
• Assumes overall accountability for meeting contract requirements.
• Verifies accuracy of project financial forecast, notice provisions, and billings to meet contract requirements; escalates deviations.
• Ensures team creates a project-specific quality plan aligned with the owner contract and contract documents.
• Ensures a team creates a closeout plan in alignment with the contract documents.
• Provides leadership in motivating the project team(s) and maintains a positive work environment.
• Directs and supervises work of project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operational priorities and maintain relationships with owners, subcontractors, unions, etc.
• Assumes overall accountability of subcontracting strategy and the buyout process at project level.
• Negotiate all aspects of contracts and lead risk mitigation plan implementations.
• Ensure project compliance with insurance and bonds.
• Coordinate preconstruction services ensuring alignment with contractual obligations; review and approve deliverables.
• Lead networking strategies by understanding local markets and profiles.
