Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a Managing Director for Municipal Utility Advisory. You will lead a national practice, shape strategy, originate complex engagements, and expand offerings across water, wastewater, electric and gas utilities.

Build executive relationships and mentor teams to drive revenue growth nationwide. Ideal candidates have deep utility finance expertise, 10–15 years in consulting, and a proven ability to scale advisory services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience serving utilities through consulting, advisory services, utility leadership, public finance, regulatory work, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success building and scaling a consulting practice, service line, or advisory business.
• Demonstrated success generating significant revenue growth, originating work, and developing new client relationships.
• Strong executive-level communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead national growth strategy for Baker Tilly's municipal utility advisory practice.
• Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with utility leaders and regulators.
• Originate, shape, and lead complex utility advisory engagements.
• Build and mentor a scalable national delivery team across markets and utility types.
• Represent Baker Tilly through industry conferences, publications, and thought leadership.
