Job summary

ProSource Land Services is seeking a National Director of Title Services to lead and grow its national title practice. The role combines expert technical title work with client management, project leadership and business development.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with complex infrastructure title, including airports, utilities and multi-state records, and can mentor a team while expanding national capabilities.

Qualifications

• Approximately 12+ years of title/real estate experience.
• Advanced knowledge of title abstracting, examination, and chain-of-title research.
• Experience supervising title professionals and managing multiple assignments.
• Strong project management with scope, schedule, budget responsibility.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to document research methodology.
• Ability and willingness to travel as necessary to support projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead ProSource's national Title Services practice, with accountability for technical quality, project performance, staffing, client satisfaction and profitability.
• Provide senior-level review on complex title examinations, ownership histories, easements, encumbrances, conveyances and gaps in public records.
• Develop defensible strategies for resolving incomplete or misindexed land records.
• Direct chain-of-title research, surface title research and title investigations.
• Provide technical leadership for airport real estate and title assignments, including FAA-related research.
• Review and approve significant title reports, memoranda and client deliverables.
• Establish consistent research methodologies and quality-control procedures across the practice.
• Manage and mentor title specialists and researchers."
• Determine staffing approaches for multi-county and multi-state assignments.
• Work with Right of Way, Acquisition, Relocation, GIS, Environmental and project teams.
• Participate in client meetings as a technical advisor on title issues.
• Develop scopes of work, staffing plans, schedules and fee estimates for proposals.
• Assist leadership with pursuit strategy, proposals and client presentations.
• Maintain relationships with engineering firms, airport sponsors, utilities and other clients.
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and new markets for title services.
