Role Description
The National Sales Manager will lead Brane Audio's day-to-day sales execution across North America, with a strong focus on account management, retail readiness, partner enablement, and new business development within the Pro Audio and Live Music channel. This role works closely with Marketing on all partner-facing and customer-facing execution to ensure brand consistency from the retail floor to live events.
Reporting to the VP of Sales, this role is measured on sell-through growth, depth and quality of partner relationships, expansion into Pro Audio and Live Music accounts, retail execution, and the scalability of training and enablement programs.
Responsibilities
- Account Management & Growth: Own and manage key regional and specialty retail accounts, drive sell-through, build lasting partner relationships, and expand wallet share.
- Retail Readiness & Execution: Work with marketing on proper merchandising, demo readiness, conduct store audits, and support launch campaigns.
- Training & Enablement: Deliver product training, develop sales materials and playbooks, and support Pro Audio and Live Music partners in the field, in partnership with Marketing on customer-facing materials
- New Business Development (Pro Audio / Live Music): Identify, target, and close new business opportunities within the Pro Audio and Live Music channel, including dealers, rental companies, venues, and touring professionals.
- Field Leadership & Market Development: Travel approximately 60% of the time, represent the brand at trade shows and industry events, and bring market insights back to HQ to inform product and go-to-market strategy.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience in consumer electronics and pro audio.
- Demonstrated track record of growing regional and specialty accounts and hitting sell-through targets.
- Strong retail execution, relationship-building, and training skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel ~60%, including evenings and weekends for live events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of sales or account management experience, with time spent calling on both consumer electronics retail and Pro Audio/Live Music channels.
- Established network in the Pro Audio and Live Music ecosystem: touring production companies, FOH/monitor engineers, rental houses, venues, houses of worship, and install integrators.
- Prior experience selling pro audio into Regional and Specialty consumer electronics retailers (e.g., Abt, B&H, Crutchfield and Live Music dealers such as Sweetwater and Guitar Center).
- Experience launching a new or category-defining audio product, ideally at an early-stage or challenger brand.
- Familiarity with rep firms and distributor models, and a point of view on when to leverage them.
- Comfort presenting technical product demos to skeptical, expert audiences (engineers, artists, A/V professionals).
Preferred Skills
- Consultative selling across levels, from in-store associates to C‑suite retail buyers.
- Strong demo and storytelling skills that translate novel technology into clear partner and consumer benefits in collaboration with marketing.
- Retail merchandising fluency: planograms, end‑caps, demo stations, and seasonal resets.
- Data literacy with sell-through reports, POS data, and CRM tools (Salesforce or HubSpot).
- Ability to build scalable training materials and partner certification programs.
- Trade show and event execution (NAMM, CEDIA, InfoComm, AES).
- Self‑directed prioritization of travel and accounts in a lean, fast-moving team.
