Job summary

P&E Constructors is a safety-driven, employee-owned construction firm delivering large capital projects across the United States. The Safety Manager will oversee site safety programs, regulatory compliance, and incident investigations while mentoring project teams and championing a Zero Harm culture.

This role requires extensive travel to project locations nationwide, with per diem, mobilization support, and potential vehicle allowances.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressive safety leadership experience.
• Must hold BCSP safety certification (CHST/AP/SP CSP) or equivalent.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Current OSHA 30-hour Construction card.
• Current NFPA 70E certification.
• Knowledge of OCIP/CCIP insurance programs.
• Advanced knowledge of heavy industrial construction and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Site-Specific Safety Plans and emergency protocols.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Lead safety campaigns, recognition programs, and ongoing safety initiatives.
• Prepare weekly and monthly safety reports and metrics.
• Mentor project teams to promote a Zero Harm safety culture.
• Coordinate safety equipment procurement and distribution.
• Serve as liaison to site management on safety compliance.
