Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Rental National Account Manager to drive national account rental revenue and grow relationships with new and existing customers across a portfolio.

You will work with Caterpillar dealers to strengthen rental capabilities and deliver year-over-year growth across your accounts. Responsibilities include negotiating contracts, developing account strategies, and coordinating with dealers to align resources for customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused and able to align Caterpillar products and services with customer business needs.
• Experience selling or marketing within construction, heavy rental equipment, or related industry.
• Strong value-selling, influencing, and negotiation skills to navigate complex conversations.
• Proven ability to build trust and work effectively with dealers or distributors.
• Ability to use data, sales history, and performance metrics to guide account strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to connect products and solutions to measurable value for account growth.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with internal partners and major customers to meet sales objectives.
• Lead contract negotiations with national account prospects.
• Develop and execute account strategies for assigned customers and identify business needs.
• Implement market strategies for key industries and align resources to support customer satisfaction.
• Advise internal Caterpillar teams on industry direction and customer priorities.
• Consult with dealers and districts on rental revenue, product sales, and service support.
• Travel regularly to customer locations to resolve issues and identify future product needs.
• Support customers through product and program planning to accelerate rental revenue growth.
• Ensure decision-makers understand the full value of Caterpillar products and dealer capabilities.
• Collaborate with dealers to strengthen rental capabilities and expand account support.
