Job Summary
Responsible for developing partnerships with global biopharmaceutical manufacturers to enhance competitiveness in the market and establish the Company as the retail and specialty pharmacy of choice.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops and fosters relationships with global pharmaceutical manufacturers focusing on establishing/expanding alliances in retail and specialty distribution markets. Leads the process for gaining access to LDD (limited distribution drugs) for Specialty Pharmacy with assigned manufacturers.
- Develops specific acquisition and adherence strategies for retail prescription products in collaboration with internal support teams and manufacturer partners.
- Responsible for developing and implementing joint strategies on Rx DTC marketing, adherence services, data services, market insights, and distribution/purchasing strategies to boost sales for the Company and pharma partners.
- Collaborates with manufacturer trade relations and brand teams to identify business opportunities and implement tactics to establish enterprise-wide relationships.
- Negotiates and contracts with pharmaceutical manufacturers for service programs in retail and specialty sectors, ensuring partnerships with Purchasing and Supply Chain are recognized.
- Acts as the primary contact between the biopharma industry and internal stakeholders, such as Pharmacy Operations, Legal/Contracting, Marketing, Clinical, Specialty, Digital, and other functions.
- Uses internal/external business intelligence to identify new business opportunities early.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree + 6 years in pharmaceutical account management or trade relations OR High School Diploma/GED + 9 years experience.
- Experience collaborating across internal and external teams to develop strategies within budget and timelines.
- Experience in strategic initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Experience in pharmacy marketing, sales, benefit management, or managed care.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical manufacturer segment and cost variables.
- Negotiation experience with vendors, contracts, and service issues.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- At least 5 years in financial decision-making and leadership roles.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
