Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks a Travel Director/Adventure Guide to lead National Parks explorations, acting as brand ambassador on our shipboard team.

This role requires high guest interaction, long hours, and a dynamic, energetic person with exceptional communication and social skills. You will spend 6–8 weeks onboard before shifting to Tour Director assignments and work closely with home office on schedules and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management preferred.
• Previous National Parks Tour Guide experience preferred.
• Significant experience in hospitality, tourism, and/or event management.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Lead guests through daily National Parks explorations as company representative and brand ambassador.
• Provide narration and commentary about parks, history, nature, and wildlife.
• Communicate schedules, weather, and activity levels to guests.
• Create daily programs explaining each day’s activities.
• Organize on-board entertainment and games for guests.
• Assist guests with minor medical attention and accommodate requests.
