Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks a Travel Director/Adventure Guide to lead guests on National Parks explorations across Yellowstone, Glacier, Grand Teton and more, serving as the brand ambassador and coordinating land excursions for exceptional guest experiences.

The role involves very high guest interaction, long hours, and a training phase as Excursions Director for 4–6 weeks before assuming full duties on tours. Expect 6–8 weeks on, 1–2 off, with 7 days per week operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management is preferred.
• Significant experience in hospitality, tourism, and/or event management.
• Strong public speaking skills and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

Responsibilities

• Lead guests through daily National Parks explorations as a company representative and brand ambassador.
• Provide narration and commentary with accurate information about parks, history, nature, and wildlife.
• Communicate schedules, weather, and activity levels to guests.
• Create daily programs detailing what each day entails.
• Develop and run onboard entertainment such as trivia and games.
• Assist guests with minor medical attention and accommodate guest requests.
• Socialize with guests and maintain engagement throughout the trip.
• Coordinate with home office, including weekly reports and schedule changes.
• Prepare materials for turnaround day and monitor vendor performance.
