Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks a Travel Director to lead guest explorations in National Parks aboard our ships. You will narrate, inform, and entertain while coordinating daily schedules and activities across multiple regions.

This role blends brand ambassadorship with hands-on operations and guest care. The position requires high energy, exceptional communication, and the ability to work long hours in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in hospitality, tourism, or event management.
• Strong production and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Enthusiasm, confidence, and a can-do attitude.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• TWIC credential.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Lead guests through daily National Parks explorations as a brand ambassador.
• Provide narration and commentary with accurate information about parks, history, nature, and wildlife.
• Effectively communicate schedule, weather, and activity levels to guests.
• Create daily programs to explain what each day entails.
• Create and execute onboard entertainment such as trivia and games.
• Assist guests with minor medical attention.
• Accommodate all reasonable guest requests and socialize with guests.
• Communicate with home office; complete weekly reports and relay schedule changes.
• Prepare materials for turnaround day.
• Monitor vendor and guide performance; provide feedback to home office.
• Onboard as Excursions Director for 4–6 weeks before becoming Tour Director.
