Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks Travel Directors to join our shipboard team for the 2027 season. The Travel Director leads guests through National Park explorations, provides narration, and acts as brand ambassador, ensuring a memorable, safe adventure across iconic landscapes.

This role requires high guest interaction, long hours, and strong communication, time management, and teamwork. Candidates should have hospitality or tourism experience and be prepared for demanding, engaging work on the

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management preferred.
• Significant experience in hospitality, tourism, and/or event management.
• Strong production and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Enthusiasm, confidence, and a can-do attitude.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Lead guests through daily National Parks explorations while acting as a company representative and brand ambassador.
• Provide narration and commentary about parks, history, nature, and wildlife.
• Communicate schedule, weather, and activity levels to guests.
• Create daily programs detailing what each day entails.
• Create and execute entertainment, such as trivia and games, on board the motorcoach.
• Assist guests with minor medical attention.
• Accommodate all reasonable guest requests; socialize with guests.
• Communicate with home office, including weekly reports and schedule changes.
• Prepare materials for turnaround day.
• Monitor vendor and coach performance; provide feedback to home office.
• Attend 4–6 weeks onboard as Excursions Director before Tour Director assignment.
