Job summary

Mt Rainier National Park Inn is seeking a General Manager to lead daily hotel and retail operations within the national park setting. You will direct a team, set schedules, manage payroll, and ensure high standards of guest service, cleanliness, and product presentation while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

The role demands strong hospitality leadership, prior restaurant/hotel experience, and familiarity with POS systems; ServSafe Manager and MAST/TIPS certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Management or related college degree strongly preferred.
• Two years restaurant and hotel experience required.
• National park hotel operations experience strongly preferred.
• Able to learn and use POS system including computerized cash register and credit card terminal.
• Possess ServSafe Manager and MAST/TIPS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, problem solve, and direct supervisors and employees to ensure efficient and safe completion of all daily hotel and retail tasks.
• Train, on-board, and schedule staff; maintain operation records including schedules, payroll, deposits, and daily cash reports.
• Manage staff to enforce standards and minimize personnel conflicts; conduct payroll and inventories; perform yearly evaluations.
• Attend and participate in safety and health meetings; forecast and analyze sales, labor, and profit; ensure budget compliance.
• Communicate with Guest Services, National Park Service, and vendors to ensure smooth operation of hotel and gift shop.
