Job summary

Transgender Law Center’s National Organizer will build power with trans communities nationwide by developing leadership, strengthening local/state organizing, and advancing campaigns rooted in racial, gender, and HIV justice. The role designs trainings, convenings, and cohorts using popular education to grow community leadership.

They will identify emerging issues, support base-building, and translate research into strategies that resource and amplify local organizing.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in national organizing work.
• Demonstrated experience in relationship-building and community organizing.
• Experience planning and facilitating trainings, convenings, and cohorts using popular education techniques.
• Experience with campaign development and narrative change work.
• Strong project management skills to handle multiple trainings and deliverables.
• Strong communication skills, including facilitation and writing.
• Commitment to racial, gender, and HIV justice.

Responsibilities

• Lead national organizing efforts aligned with TLC priorities and campaigns.
• Coordinate advocacy campaigns and ballot measure support in priority states.
• Develop advocacy and narrative strategies addressing HIV criminalization and anti-trans legislation.
• Identify policy issues and translate them into organizing priorities.
• Support campaigns and organizing across TLC programs.
