Job summary

Canyon de Chelly National Monument, managed by the US National Park Service, seeks a Maintenance Worker to perform recurring building and utility maintenance and operation duties. The role supports journeymen and higher-graded workers and draws on knowledge across several trades and crafts.

Applicants should demonstrate experience in at least two trades, and be capable of using and maintaining a variety of tools and instruments, interpreting plans, and applying precise technical practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform the full range of Maintenance Worker tasks in at least two trades.
• Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, repair.
• Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of materials.
• Use of measuring instruments.
• Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, including blueprints.
• Technical practices (precision and quality workmanship).

Responsibilities

• Perform recurring building and/or utility maintenance and operation duties.
• Assist journeymen and other higher graded maintenance workers.
• Utilize knowledge and skills in several trades and crafts.
