Job summary

Chiesi Global Rare Diseases in the United States is seeking a National Account Director, Government Accounts to drive market access across federal and state payers. You will build strategic relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure formulary access for GRD products.

The role requires 10 years in pharma with 7+ years payer-facing experience, strong leadership, and collaboration across Medical, Regulatory, and Sales teams. Remote work with significant travel is expected.

Qualifications

• BS/BA required.
• 10 years related pharma/biotech experience with 7+ years payer-facing in rare/orphan products.
• Experience with State Medicaid Pharmacy Directors, Medical PBMs, CMS, VA, DoD, Tricare, Indian Health.
• Expert knowledge of US payer environment, formulary, utilization management, and benefit management strategies.
• Existing relationships with key government accounts.

Responsibilities

• Lead with assigned Government accounts to execute market access strategy and secure formulary/medical policy access.
• Collaborate with Patient Services, Specialty Pharmacy vendors, hub services to address reimbursement issues.
• Coordinate with Field Reimbursement and Sales to meet access goals.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracting with US payers and government entities.
