Job summary

UMOS in Savoy, IL is seeking a Career Coach for the National Farmworker Jobs Program to develop outreach, recruit participants, and support program goals across multiple offices.

You will conduct eligibility interviews, assist with emergency assistance, develop Employment Development Plans, and coordinate with schools, employers, and providers to connect farmworkers with training and jobs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of post-secondary education in social science, human services, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience in case management (1 year may be substituted with 1 year of education).
• Able to communicate in both English/Spanish. PREFERRED
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), customer service, and organization skills.
• Must have a car, valid driver’s license, and adequate auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and perform outreach and recruitment activities to support UMOS National Farmworker Jobs Program goals.
• Schedule and conduct participant applications/interviews to determine eligibility and provide emergency assistance.
• Respond to contacts, schedule appointments, and provide program information to MSFWs.
• Create Employment Development Plans with goals and timelines for skills training.
