Job summary

UMOS in Aurora, IL is seeking a Career Coach for the NFJP to lead outreach and recruitment, conduct participant assessments, and support job readiness and placement efforts. You will coordinate with employers, schools, and training providers to help farmworkers access services and achieve employment goals.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish, strong communication, and experience in case management, with travel and flexible hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of post-secondary education in social science or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in case management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct outreach and recruitment to support NFJP goals and partnerships.
• Schedule and conduct participant applications/interviews for eligibility.
• Respond to inquiries via phone/email/text and provide program information.
• Create Employment Development Plans with timelines and goals.
• Conduct job-readiness assessments and coordinate workshops.
• Coordinate with schools, employers, and training providers on progress.
• Maintain participant files and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
