Job summary

Climate Pros, LLC is seeking an Estimating Director to lead the national estimating function across refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry projects. You will set standards, drive the estimating team, and align bid strategies with growth and profitability objectives.

You will partner with executive leadership, regional PMs, customers, subcontractors, and suppliers to define scope, assess risk, and develop value options, ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive proposals that win work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field.
• Ten or more years of progressive estimating or preconstruction experience in related trades.
• Five or more years of leadership experience managing estimators and multiple pursuits.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and pricing strategies.
• Executive-level written, verbal, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the national estimating function and translate growth, margin, and risk objectives into priorities, standards, and measurable goals.
• Lead, coach, and develop trade-specific estimators; plan staffing, workload, and succession planning.
• Establish and improve standardized estimating processes, cost databases, templates, and technology.
• Oversee the estimating lifecycle from opportunity review through scope development, pricing, and project turnover.
• Lead kickoff, milestone, and final review meetings; verify scope coverage and risk.
• Present bid strategy, pricing, risk, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Partner with customers and internal teams to define scope and develop value opportunities.
• Build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers; monitor delivery requirements.
• Ensure pursuits and forecast data are recorded in Fieldgetics for reliable planning.
• Lead post-bid and post-project reviews and apply lessons learned.
