Job summary

CT Mechanical, a division of Comfort Temp Company, seeks a senior leader to guide Estimating or Preconstruction and Estimating. The role requires directing the complete bid process, leading the estimating team, and aligning Estimating with Operations and executive leadership.

The Director role includes business development leadership, market strategy, pipeline accountability, and binding qualified relationships into profitable backlog, across Florida offices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive estimating experience in commercial HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical contracting.
• 3+ years of leadership experience overseeing Estimators or related teams.
• Strong knowledge of bid strategy, takeoffs, labor drivers, and margin.
• Proven ability to lead and evaluate the complete bid process.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating department's direction, structure, and day-to-day performance.
• Manage and develop Estimators and Bid Coordination staff.
• Oversee the full bid lifecycle from invitation review to turnover.
• Partner with Operations, Project Management, and field leadership to reflect execution reality.
