Job summary

Tradesmen International is launching a National Direct Hire Manager role to build and lead a new permanent placement division serving the construction and skilled trades industry nationwide.

This leadership position reports to the Vice President of Workforce Solutions and requires 3–5+ years of direct hire leadership in staffing. Competitive base salary with incentives, comprehensive benefits, and growth within a national brand.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years leading direct hire or permanent placement within staffing or recruiting
• Experience building a recruiting program or division from scratch
• People leadership experience: hiring, coaching, and performance management
• Working command of direct hire economics (fees, guarantees, fall-off, gross profit)
• Process and performance-improvement mindset: document, measure, improve
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Experience with ATS, CRM platforms, and performance reporting
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education/experience

Responsibilities

• Design the end-to-end direct hire delivery model (client intake, sourcing, submittal standards, offers, fee capture)
• Develop pricing guidance, fee schedules, and guarantees with Finance/Legal
• Write process documentation for the division as it grows
• Recruit, hire, and develop a team of 5–10 recruiters across five regions
• Build training and ramp programs to convert contract recruiters to direct hire
• Lead with credibility, aligning with Field leadership to drive regional adoption
• Establish KPI framework (time-to-fill, submittal-to-interview, placement volume, gross profit)
• Diagnose performance gaps and drive process improvements
• Report division health and strategy to executive leadership
• Maintain strong collaboration with VP and Area Operations Managers
