Job summary

SB Thomas & Associates, Inc. seeks a full-time Property and Facility Condition Assessor to support nationwide building assessments and capital-planning projects across the United States.

The role requires extensive travel to client sites and collaboration with clients, residents, property managers, and project teams. Preference is given to those with home inspection, commercial inspection, or building-science training.

Qualifications

• Experience or training in home inspection, property or facility assessments, or related building inspections.
• Willingness to travel nationwide up to 100% and stay away from home for weeks.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training on assessment procedures and quality-control.
• Conduct visual condition assessments of multifamily housing and commercial properties.
• Record defect details, age, and remaining useful life.
• Photograph sites clearly and label images.
