Job summary

Celerion is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development for Biologics & Biomarkers to drive strategic growth of the Bioanalytical Services business. You will acquire new clients and programs in biologics, biomarkers, molecular and cellular bioanalysis, and emerging modalities.

The role is national, focusing on biotechnology and pharmaceutical partnerships for patient-based clinical development, including oncology and other specialty areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences required or related field.
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible pharmaceutical or CRO business development experience.
• Proven success selling biologics, biomarkers, bioanalytical or translational medicine services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a national business development strategy for biologics, biomarkers, and related bioanalytical services.
• Identify, qualify, and secure new opportunities with biotech and pharma companies not currently significant customers.
• Build relationships with scientific and executive decision makers across translational medicine and biomarker teams.
• Develop opportunities within sponsors conducting patient-based clinical trials, including oncology and specialty areas.
• Maintain a robust national opportunity pipeline and collaborate with marketing on growth initiatives.
• Lead client meetings, proposals, and contract negotiations and ensure exceptional customer experience.
