Job summary

TeamHealth seeks an accomplished physician executive to serve as ACO national medical director, a high-visibility leadership role focused on growth and expansion of innovative post-acute care ACO initiatives. You will shape strategy, partner with executive leadership, and lead physician engagement across networks to drive value-based care success.

This strategic role combines administrative leadership with clinical insight, influencing national policy, partnerships, and performance in MSSP,

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Active, unrestricted medical license.
• Board certification in IM, FM, or a related specialty.
• Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of physician leadership experience.
• Experience in value-based care, ACOs, population health, or risk-based reimbursement models.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute ACO growth strategies.
• Support expansion and market development of post-acute care ACO initiatives.
• Provide physician perspective on accountable care and value-based models.
• Evaluate healthcare trends, opportunities, and partnerships.
• Support organizational planning and long-term growth objectives.
• Represent the organization at conferences and stakeholder meetings.
• Develop relationships with physician leaders and strategic partners.
• Interpret performance data and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Assist with onboarding and network expansion efforts.
