Job summary

TeamHealth seeks an accomplished physician executive to serve as ACO national medical director, leading strategic growth of value-based post-acute care initiatives. You will partner with executives and stakeholders to expand the ACO platform, guide physician engagement, and direct network development on a national scale.

The role is strategic and administrative, offering broad influence over care coordination, risk-based models, and performance outcomes across the organization.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active medical license and board certification in internal medicine or family medicine (or related specialty).
• Minimum 10 years clinical experience and 5+ years physician leadership experience.
• Experience in value-based care, ACOs, population health, post-acute care, or risk-based reimbursement models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute ACO growth strategies in collaboration with executive leadership.
• Expand post-acute care ACO initiatives and grow the network.
• Provide physician perspectives on accountable care, population health, and value-based models.
• Evaluate healthcare trends, opportunities, regulations, and partnerships to inform strategy.
• Support long-term planning and growth objectives across the organization.
