Our Hu and Enjoy Life brands within Mondelēz International are looking for a chocolate-loving Sales leader to drive growth in the conventional grocery – West channel for Hu Products. A great candidate will have a deep knowledge of the CPG sales process in large conventional grocery accounts, especially Albertson’s. They should have existing relationships with key decision makers and a proven track record for exceeding aggressive sales goals. This position reports to the Sr. National Account Manager – Mass and will be a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the Sr. National Account Manager to develop a sales strategy designed to penetrate West Conventional grocery customers.
  • Execute the strategy of the grocery channels to deliver on annual revenue goals.
  • Identify, engage, and open new channels and accounts, with emphasis on segments such as Albertson’s, Safeway, HEB, Hy-Vee, and Meijer.
  • Optimize relationships with new partners to promote best-in-category opportunities - pricing and promotions, POS and in-store campaigns, SKU mix, shelf placement, etc.
  • Partner with trade and marketing teams to build and support account velocities.
  • In conjunction with the Trade Marketing Team and operations team, plan, organize, forecast, and implement promotional and trade spend initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations team to ensure strong customer service levels.
  • Leverage network of brokers & distributors to support channels in accordance with the Hu mission, culture, and values.
  • Propose development, adaptation, and/or changes to the company’s current product line based on trade feedback and competitive analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years managing Albertson’s; experience with HEB, Hy-Vee, and Meijer is a plus
  • Deep understanding of the conventional grocery channel landscape at every level (Customer, Distributor, Broker, etc.)
  • Proven success as both a top-performing CPG salesperson and a leader on winning teams
  • Experience developing and executing impactful selling strategies
  • Strong partnership skills with brokers and third-party merchandising teams
  • Experience managing distributor relationships (UNFI, KeHe)
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and storytelling skills
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, growth mindset, and process improvement skills

The base salary range for this position is $117,400 to $161,425, depending on experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition, the role offers a competitive bonus program based on performance and company results. Benefits include health insurance, wellness programs, life and disability insurance, retirement plans, paid leave, education programs, holidays, and vacation. No relocation support is available.
