The University Of The Incarnate Word is seeking a Graduate Assistant responsible for the operations of the UIW Natatorium. This role involves scheduling and supervising lifeguards, managing facility maintenance, and coordinating swim meet events.

The ideal candidate is a UIW graduate student with previous lifeguard experience and should possess strong communication skills. Compensation includes a tuition waiver and $13.00 per hour for up to 25 hours a week.

Qualifications

• At least one year of previous lifeguard experience.
• Experience in pool program or sports management atmosphere preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and supervise lifeguards and technicians.
• Manage daily operations of the UIW Natatorium.
• Coordinate and run swim meet events.

Skills

Excellent oral and written communication

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Ability to work effectively with diverse communities

Knowledge of swimming/diving/synchronized swimming

Ability to plan and organize staff

Ability to supervise and direct work
