M & W Transportation Company in Nashville, TN is seeking experienced Local CDL Switcher Drivers for day and night shifts. Positions offer 12-hour shifts at an on-site facility with 30–32 per hour, home daily, and no-touch freight.

All drivers can pick up an additional Nashville route day for extra hours, with a family-owned culture and long-standing service since 1973. Required CDL, age 23+, and 2+ years of tractor-trailer experience.

Qualifications

• At least 23 years of age.
• Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• No current CDL suspension or revocation.
• Dependable, professional, and committed to getting the job done.

Responsibilities

• Operate an automatic yard truck to move and position trailers.
• Hook, unhook, and relocate trailers as directed.
• Coordinate trailer movements with facility personnel and dispatch.
• Maintain accurate records and report equipment issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with team members to keep daily operations running smoothly.
• Perform local Nashville driving assignments when working an optional additional day.

Available Positions & Pay

All positions feature 12-hour shifts operating an automatic yard truck at an on-site facility.

Available Schedules

• Friday–Sunday (36 hours/week) Days $30/hour
• Friday–Sunday (36 hours/week) Nights $32/hour

Want More Hours?

Drivers on any of these schedules have the opportunity to pick up an additional day working in our transportation system, running local Nashville (NSH) routes. This is an optional opportunity for drivers interested in earning additional income.
