Job summary

Goggin Warehousing in Smyrna, TN is seeking a 1st shift CDL A yard driver to join our local operations. This role is local and home daily, with a 7:00 am to 3:30 pm schedule.

You will move and position trailers, spot at docks, perform pre-trip inspections, and coordinate with warehouse personnel. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• 1 year tractor-trailer experience required.

Responsibilities

• Move and position trailers around the customer facility and yard as needed
• Spot trailers at designated dock doors for loading and unloading
• Pull loaded and empty trailers from dock areas
• Maintain proper trailer placement and organization within the yard
• Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Communicate with warehouse personnel and management regarding trailer movements and priorities
• Follow all company, customer, DOT, and safety procedures
• Occasionally transport a trailer to an off-site location located a short distance from the main warehouse

Switcher Expectation & Job Details:

• Move and position trailers around the customer facility and yard as needed
