The Walt Disney Company is seeking a server for Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa in California. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional, personalized service in a world‑class dining environment, with opportunities to elevate guest experiences and wine knowledge.

We prefer 2+ years in fine dining, strong guest service skills, and comfort with alcohol service for guests aged 21+. Shifts include breakfast, dinner, and special events, with pay at $21.13 per hour plus tips.

Qualifications

• You must be at least 21 years old and comfortable serving alcohol.
• 2+ years of experience as a Server or Waitstaff in a high-end restaurant.
• Extensive wine knowledge; Sommelier preferred.
• Knowledgeable about food and wine pairings and service techniques in fine dining.

Responsibilities

• Serve 4-6 table stations, take orders, input into POS, deliver meals, and follow up on guest needs.
• Serve food and beverages at proper temperatures.
• Share knowledge of wines and spirits with guests.
• Anticipate guest needs and act accordingly.
• Operate kitchen/restaurant equipment and maintain side stations.
• Complete side work and assist with light food preparation or cocktail service.

Responsibilities

• Serve 4-6 table stations, depending on party size, which includes taking food orders, entering into the POS system, delivering food to tables, and following up with guest service and needs until meals are complete and Guest leaves (all course meals, refills, pre-bussing tables, etc.)
• Serve food and beverage to Guests at proper temperature
• Share knowledge of wines and spirits to Guests
• Anticipate Guest needs and act accordingly
• Work with kitchen/restaurant equipment including, but not limited to, coffee brewers, juice, and soda fountains and toasters
• Work with kitchen supplies including small/large trays, carafes, coffee pots, plates, silverware, and glassware
• Practice proper sanitation procedures and maintain cleanliness of side stations
• Complete assigned side work as necessary including, but not limited to, polishing silverware, folding/rolling napkins, filling condiment caddies, cleaning beverage side station, and slicing and pitting fruit for garnishing drinks
• May combine the serving of food with a small amount of the food preparation
• May serve as a Cocktail server
• Assist guests with directions, entertainment, show event schedules and other information

Basic Qualifications

• You must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for this role and comfortable serving alcohol
• 2+ years of experience working as a Server or Waithelp in a high-end restaurant
• Extensive wine knowledge - Sommelier preferred
• Knowledge of Forbes standards is a plus
• Knowledgeable of food and wine pairings and service techniques utilized in a fine dining restaurant
• Excellent Guest service skills
• Poised and professional - avoiding use of casual language
• Very strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills - including the ability to speak articulately and clearly and provide good eye contact

Additional Information

SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY

This location serves Breakfast and Dinner service. Shifts may begin as early as 6:00 AM while some may end as late as 1:00 AM.

• PM Service: Shifts may begin as early as 12:00 PM and end as late as midnight (or later depending on when the last Guest leaves)
• AM Service (Princess Breakfast Adventure): Shifts are typically 6am-2:30pm
• All shift times and hours are subject to change based on business needs
