Job summary

Periodic Labs in Menlo Park, CA, seeks a hands-on Research Intern with experience in cleanroom nanofabrication. You will execute lithography, deposition, and etch processes to advance internal thin-film capabilities and generate high-quality data for AI training.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a relevant field.
• Hands-on cleanroom/nanofabrication experience with lithography, deposition, and etch processes.
• Experience with silicon-based microdevices or photonics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute hands-on nanofabrication for silicon-based devices including lithography and thin-film deposition.
• Support lithography processes such as spin coating, masking, exposure, and inspection.
• Operate or assist with sputtering, ALD, PECVD, and related deposition techniques.
• Perform etch processes including wet and dry etching and RIE/ICP-RIE.
• Prepare substrates, manage process flows, and maintain experimental records for AI training data.
• Conduct structural, optical, electrical, or morphological characterization.
