Job summary

AttoTude inc. is seeking a hands-on Fabrication Technician to support micro- and nanofabrication in the Berkeley Nanolab at UC Berkeley.

You will fabricate, iterate, and characterize devices in a fast-moving R&D environment, closely collaborating with engineers and researchers. The role suits someone who enjoys executing and improving process flows, is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and excited by cutting-edge fabrication challenges in a shared-user cleanroom.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a micro- or nanofabrication cleanroom (academic, industrial, or internship experience acceptable).
• Familiarity with semiconductor, MEMS, or nanofabrication processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow and refine complex process flows.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a small technical team.

Responsibilities

• Execute micro- and nanofabrication process flows in the Berkeley Nanolab cleanroom
• Operate fabrication equipment including photolithography tools (spin coaters, mask aligners, developers) and etching, deposition, and metrology systems
• Maintain detailed fabrication logs, travelers, and process documentation
• Follow all Berkeley Nanolab safety, chemical handling, and cleanroom protocols
• Contribute to continuous improvement of AttoTude fabrication workflows
