Texas A&M University’s Engineering Experiment Station, in the AggieFab nanofabrication facility, seeks a Research Engineer II to manage tools and advance nanofabrication processes for MEMS/BioMEMS projects.

The role covers developing recipes, running staff tasks, maintaining equipment, documenting results, and training users, contributing to cutting-edge research on the College Station campus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 years related experience in nanofabrication.
  • Experience with a variety of nanofabrication tools and processes.
  • Ability to develop recipes and operate/optimize nanofabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop recipes to optimize tool performance for AggieFab projects.
  • Execute staff runs for academic/industrial customers and prepare reports.
  • Establish SOPs and training procedures.
  • Maintain stable tool operation and collect user feedback.
  • Train users in tool operation and safety.
  • Collaborate with tool vendors on performance improvements.
  • Arrange preventative maintenance and troubleshoot to maximize uptime.
