University of Utah in Salt Lake City is seeking a Cleanroom Safety Officer/Process Engineer to oversee cleanroom safety, chemical handling, and gas monitoring systems. You will write SOPs and/train researchers on safety protocols and operate equipment with a cross-disciplinary team across EHS, facilities, and engineering.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or biochemistry, and is based on-site with standard 40-hour weeks and day shift.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry or related field.

Responsabilités

• LAB SAFETY: Be responsible for lab safety systems including hazardous gas monitoring, chemical handling, alarms, PPE, etc.
• CHEMICAL AND MATERIAL HANDLING: Maintain chemical, material, and gas inventory and database; oversee gas cabinets, labeling, and handling systems.
• MAINTENANCE OF CLEANROOM, EQUIPMENT, AND SUPPORTING INFRASTRUCTURE: Assist in troubleshoot, repair, and maintain cleanroom process equipment; coordinate with building group on facility maintenance.
