Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Materials Engineer to manage raw materials for semiconductor fabrication, ensuring quality and reliability across supply chains and suppliers. This on-site role at the Phoenix facility will support nano-materials development and process optimization for leading-edge technology.

You will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams, troubleshoot material issues, and help drive efficiency, reliability, and production readiness for next-generation fabs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Optics and related fields.
• Understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes; material supply chain.
• Knowledge of chemistry, material science and engineering principles.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting high-tech equipment.
• Ability to conduct thorough audits and assessments.
• Skills in project management, especially related to chemical and material processes.
• Experience in enhancing equipment efficiency through technical improvements.
• At least 1 year experience in semiconductor industry as Process Engineer is a strong add

Responsibilities

• Manage raw material issues to ensure performance and reliability.
• Sustain day-to-day raw material operations for quality, reliability, and timely delivery.
• Plan and execute analysis and defect-detection projects to identify material issues.
• Conduct supplier audits to assess materials and processes, ensuring quality standards.
• Coordinate with internal departments to support project execution.
• Collaborate on international projects with suppliers and headquarters.
• Perform on-site operations at TSMC facilities to observe and resolve technical or operational issues.
