Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a K-12 East Account Executive to evangelize our platform solutions to K-12 institutions, leading the account strategy within a broader team and driving self-generated sales opportunities. The role requires quota-carrying sales experience and comfort in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with districts, CMOs, nonprofits, and independent schools to connect Salesforce solutions with the goal of accelerating customer success and digital transformation in education.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of enterprise EdTech sales experience.
  • Experience selling at the C-level – Superintendents, CTOs, CIOs, Procurement and Executive Management.
  • Proven track record of sales excellence as an Individual Contributor and in a team environment.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Superior professional presence and business acumen.
  • Work collaboratively with solution engineering to create compelling demos.
  • Effective via online meetings, hangsouts, and conference calls.
  • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Be the subject matter expert for how K-12 institutions leverage Salesforce solutions.
  • Aggressively prospect and generate new contractual relationships with K-12 schools & districts.
  • Develop sales plans to cover accounts within an assigned geography.
  • Collaborate with Account and Territory teams to identify target accounts.
  • Create and drive revenue within a region or list of named accounts.
  • Generate business opportunities through networking, cold-calling, and prospecting within Salesforce customers.
  • Own the sales cycle for the technology stack including lead gen, deal strategy, pricing, and closure assistance.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas.
  • Drive brand awareness, campaigns, and lead generation via networking and associations.
  • Maintain accurate account and opportunity forecasting.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and contract retention.

About the position:

The Salesforce K-12 Account Executive is a subject matter expert and trusted advisor who works with K-12 institutions to evangelize our platform solutions that help every institution become an Agentic Enterprise, where humans and agents drive customer success together. We are seeking an experienced quota-carrying sales executive who can work both as part of a broader Account Team, leading the overall account strategy and as an Individual Contributor driving self-generated sales opportunities. Responsibilities
  • Be the subject matter expert when it comes to how K-12 institutions (Districts, CMOs, Nonprofit, and Independent Schools) leverage Salesforce solutions within their enterprise
  • Aggressively prospect and generate new contractual relationships with K-12 schools & districts
  • Develop of sales plans to effectively and efficiently cover the accounts within an assigned geography.
  • Collaborate with Account and Territory team members to identify target accounts
  • Create and drive revenue within a specified region and/or list of named accounts
  • Generate business opportunities through networking, cold-calling, and prospecting in to current Salesforce customers
  • Own the sales cycle for the entire technology stack - including lead generation, deal strategy, pricing and packaging, and assistance with deal closure
  • Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Drive brand awareness, campaigns, and lead generation via networking, associations, etc.
  • Maintain accurate account and opportunity forecasting
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and contract retention
Requirements
  • A proven team player working in co-selling environment
  • 5+ years of enterprise EdTech sales experience
  • Proven track record of sales excellence working as an Individual Contributor and working in a team environment
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment in high-growth mode
  • Superior professional presence and business acumen
  • Experience selling at the \"C\" level –Superintendents, Chief Technology Officers, Chief Information Officer, Procurement and Executive Management.
  • Work collaboratively with solution engineering team to create compelling demonstration scenarios
  • Ability to be extremely effective via online meetings, hangouts, and conference calls
  • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $141,550 - $189,350 annually There is a different range applicable to specific work locations. In California and New York, and select cities in the metropolitan areas of Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the base pay range for this role in those locations is $155,700 - $208,300 per year. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
