Job summary

Vesuvius is seeking a NAFTA Logistics Manager to lead end-to-end trucking logistics across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, focusing on cost optimization, carrier performance, and cross-border compliance.

You will drive regional strategy, negotiate with carriers, and work with supply chain, procurement, and operations to ensure reliable, compliant shipments while using TMS and analytics to identify improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of logistics or transportation management experience, with at least 3 years focused on trucking.
• Strong knowledge of NAFTA/USMCA regulations, cross-border logistics, and regional transportation markets.
• Proven track record of reducing logistics costs and implementing improvement initiatives.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with TMS platforms, freight analytics tools, and carrier performance systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regional trucking operations across the NAFTA region (US, Canada, Mexico).
• Develop and execute regional logistics strategies aligned with goals and cost targets.
• Serve as primary contact for cross-border compliance, carrier management, and performance oversight.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across trucking operations.
• Analyze freight spend and market trends to drive strategic decisions.
• Negotiate with carriers to secure competitive rates and service levels.
• Define and implement improvement initiatives to enhance service reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, and customer service teams.
