Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of experience in related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (NA) or Chartered Engineer (EMEA/APAC) desirable.
• Alignment with Associates track for professional growth; aspirations towards Principal Professional Associate level.
• Significant design experience related to large, multi-discipline, complex buildings.
• History of exceptional leadership performance and performance on project delivery.
• Recognized technical expert within HDR, by competitors, by clients, by industry talent.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical excellence and strategy within the mechanical business class.
• Lead a team to elevate the practice through innovation and thought leadership.
• Develop mentoring and succession strategies for technical staff.
• Create communication strategies to connect North America and global community of professionals.
• Lead communities of practice around special skills and emerging services.
• Oversee development and maintenance of project delivery tools, standards, recommended practices, and workflows.
• Partner with Digital Delivery on digital content and workflows.
• Lead quality initiatives and design quality control across projects.
• Recruit and retain top talent and establish HDR as market leader in the mechanical discipline.
