Job summary

The Urban Land Institute seeks a Director for North America Greenprint to lead member engagement and programming, in partnership with the Vice President and regional leads. You will shape strategy, build trusted relationships with sustainability leaders, investors, and developers, and align priorities across regions to advance decarbonization.

Based in Washington, DC, you will host member events, deliver data-driven insights, manage budgets, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to scale

Qualifications

• 7–8 years of relevant experience in program management or client-facing roles, ideally at the intersection of commercial real estate and sustainability.
• Ability to build credibility and maintain relationships with sustainability leaders, investors, developers, owners, and industry partners.
• Excellent professional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with comfort engaging members and partners at every level.
• Experience managing contractors to produce high-quality deliverables within budget.
• Comfort facilitating live conversations among senior professionals and knowing when to redirect ideas or bring in outside partners.

Responsibilities

• Set and refine program strategy for North America in coordination with the VP and regional leads; curate and evolve offerings to meet member needs.
• Serve as the face of Greenprint in North America, building trusted relationships with members, prospective recruits, industry organizations, and partners.
• Listen to member needs to identify shared barriers and opportunities and translate signals into an agenda for market transformation.
• Represent the program at major industry events and ULI conferences, and host member events as appropriate.
• Lead recurring member discussions on decarbonization and resilience topics; plan and manage members-only webinars.
