Job summary

SGL Carbon is seeking a senior EHSA leader to manage the North America EHSA function, analyze key metrics and regulatory trends, and implement initiatives to maintain acceptable risk levels. You will mentor and develop NA sites’ EHS staff and facilitate communications between sites for best practices.

Responsibilities include evaluating services, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and supporting global EHSA activities to address issues in new or modified manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Occupational Safety and Environmental Sciences or Engineering is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Ability to analyze regulatory trends and identify risks.

Responsibilities

• Manage NA EHSA Incident Management process for employee safety, process safety and environmental safety.
• Develop EHSA operating plans and budget with site management.
• Monitor regulatory trends and implement compliance programs at sites.
• Coach and mentor site EHSA staff and participate in performance metrics.
