Incumbent works in the Commander, Navy Region, Southwest (CNRSW) Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Program under the supervision of the Supervisory Recreation Specialist (Fitness Manager). The position is assigned to Naval Air Station, North Island.

Responsibilities include:

• Organizing, planning, and administering special events and entertainment activities.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Maintaining records, compiling data for reports, and researching recreation topics for dissemination.
• Following oral and written instructions.

Qualifications include:

• Experience related to customer service and recreation activities.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of leisure activities, the Navy MWR mission, and community recreation functions.
• Proficiency with computers, office procedures, and print production.
