Responsibilities and Requirements

• Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
• Meet federal suitability requirements, including successful completion of background investigation.
• Work may require sitting, walking, long periods of standing, bending, and lifting of moderately heavy items up to 40 pounds without assistance, with occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance.
• Work schedule is flexible and may include night, weekend, and holiday shifts, as well as split days off.
• Obtain and maintain within 90 days of hire: Emergency First Responder or CPR, Food Handlers, and/or C.A.R.E certification.

Qualifications

• Experience in recreation or completion of two years of study with at least 12 semester hours related to recreation.
• Knowledge of MWR department services to assist or refer customers.
• Skilled in keyboarding, POS systems, and basic computer operations.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Basic custodial skills such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Customer service skills, including identifying needs and resolving issues.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Additional Information

This position is not in a positive education series.
