Job summary

Sungrow USA Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking a Transformer Engineer for the Service Department. The role focuses on applying electrical engineering knowledge to transformers, performing design reviews, equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting, and RCA reporting.

Travel up to 50% and a hybrid work arrangement are expected. The candidate will collaborate with HQ and OEMs, train Field Service staff, and produce detailed test and maintenance reports while maintaining strong client relationships

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
Experience with power transformers, liquid-filled/dry-type preferred.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills required.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Investigate, troubleshoot, and analyze transformers and their components in the field.
Apply IEEE, NETA, NEC, and UL standards for testing and safety.
Prepare reports detailing tests, repairs, and maintenance performed.
Coordinate with HQ and OEMs for design issues and RCA reports.
Provide on-job training and maintain strong client relationships.
