Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to own the mechanical design of medium voltage switchgear in Detroit, MI, focusing on 2D elevations, detailed section views, and enclosure design.

You will work with Electrical Engineers, benefit from weekly specialist training with senior leadership, and have a fast track to management. The advertised salary is $115,000 to $140,000 plus 10% bonus, relocation assistance, full benefits, PTO, and 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in power distribution switchgear or switchboards.
• Enclosure design experience with sheet metal or bolted designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of complex MV switchgear, including 2D elevations and detailed section views.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineers to manage submittal and approval phase.
• Receive specialist training and mentorship from VPs and senior leadership.
