Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with a Medium Voltage power distribution background to own the full design lifecycle of MV switchgear and switchboards.

You will work directly with senior leadership, receive weekly specialist training, and have a fast-track path to management. The role includes a $115,000–$140,000 salary, 10% bonus, relocation support, full benefits, a 401(k) match and 4 weeks PTO.

Qualifications

• Electrical design experience within power distribution (switchgear or switchboards).
• Advanced understanding of Medium Voltage controls, wiring, and circuitry.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design of complex MV switchgear, including 2D elevations, section views, and electrical schematics.
• Managing the submittal and approval phase, focusing on intricate controls and advanced wiring systems.
• Receiving specialist training and direct mentorship from VPs and senior leadership via weekly sessions.
