Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation in Anderson, SC is seeking a Pre-Order MV SWGR Designer Electrical - UL to partner with the AMER Sales Team and UL product management on MV switchgear design, estimating, and quoting. The role is co-located with MV SWGR UL Order Engineering teams in Anderson, SC or Reynosa, Mexico.

You will prepare electrical schematics, work with suppliers, and help drive design decisions through the CDE process to support competitive quotes and timely execution.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Master's degree beneficial but not required.
• Experience in engineering, supply chain, or manufacturing in MV SWGR space.
• Ability to interface with customers and sales at exec/technical levels.
• Proficient in Excel; Smartsheet and Power BI beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer design requirements with MV SWGR estimating team.
• Provide design feedback for product roadmaps.
• Prepare electrical schematics and designs (one lines, panel schedules, control logic).
• Coordinate with MV Breaker and MV Relay suppliers.
• Support procurement with MV electrical component analysis.
• Draft FAT plans for quote process and execution.
• Propose VAVE alternatives for cost-effective solutions.
