Job summary

Boom Supersonic is building a 13.8kV medium-voltage power system for its Superpower platform, delivering reliable power to critical loads in an industrial setting. You will own the MV design from architecture through energization, testing, and commissioning, coordinating across mechanical, controls, and instrumentation teams.

The role emphasizes stand-alone, off-grid operation, protection coordination, and generation synchronization to ensure outage-ready power for frontier AI data centers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with MV systems, switchgear, breakers, protection, grounding.
• Understanding of rotating machinery and AVR systems.

Responsibilities

• Define MV architecture and protection philosophy.
• Produce protection coordination studies and MV drawings.
• Lead first energization, relay commissioning, synchronization, load acceptance.
• Oversee generation, distribution, and protection of MV power.
• Coordinate with turbine control system interface requirements.
• Readiness for field commissioning and testing.
