Job summary

Boom Supersonic is building Superpower, a 42-megawatt industrial gas turbine-derived system powering next-gen AI data centers. This role owns the 13.8kV MV system from architecture through energization and field commissioning.

You will work hands-on on MV protection, switchgear, generator integration, and coordinating with mechanical and controls teams to ensure reliability and safety. The compensation details reflect market ranges for senior MV electrical engineers in the Colorado area.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience with medium-voltage systems in industrial environments.
• Understanding rotating machinery, AVR, synchronization, and transient response.
• Experience with protection coordination and relay settings from study to commissioning.
• Ability to read and produce clean MV electrical drawings (one-lines, diagrams) without ambiguity.
• Comfort collaborating with mechanical, controls, and instrumentation teams.

Responsibilities

• Design the 13.8kV MV system architecture through energization and field commissioning.
• Produce protection coordination studies and MV drawings.
• Lead first energization, relay commissioning, and load testing.
